Scott Dickinson

Scott Dickinson has been playing the saxophone since the age of ten. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from the University of Iowa. Though he has spent most of his life in insurance and retirement planning, his musical passion has never waned. He has taught both publicly and privately, performed and played with many groups over the years. His first year in college he was selected to solo with the Eastern Iowa symphony. Mr. Dickinson has played with many groups, all the way from the Karl king band in Iowa to now playing with Oak City Saxes and the LGBT Pride band in Raleigh. Mr. Dickinson, studied under Lawrence Gwozdz from Mississippi State who was a prodigy himself of one of the pioneers of altissimo range on saxophone Sigurd Rascher. Mr Dickinson’s love for music is an eternal quest one that he loves sharing with everyone.
